The inside of a saguaro cactus (my FAVORITE cactus!) has woody ribs that stay behind when a cactus dies and it's flesh falls off. The ribs are used to make furniture, saguaro fruit harvest poles and decor. On our hike to today we got to see many saguaro skeletons!
