We spent almost all day at the Desert Museum. It was so much fun! We learned a lot about desert plants, animals and life. It was lots of walking and beautiful scenery. K enjoyed the animals the most and really liked touching this snake.

Mike groomed Kasha today. She was getting a little scruffy! Now she looks like a schnauzer again.

We hiked at Saguaro National Park again today. This time we did a 3 mile round trip trail. Yikes! K took time to hug some woody ribs of a saguaro.

I used my crock pot for three meals so far this week! It is so awesome!! We've had mushroom chicken, chili and chicken fajitas! YUMMY!!

My sick little boy (Day 46)

K has been getting colds that induce difficult breathing since last June. He hasn't seen a doctor to determine whether it's asthma, but he will be going to see one this week. He has an inhaler from an E.R. visit that we have been using. I don't like watching my "baby" struggle to breathe.

Happy Valentine's Day! We enjoyed a wonderful evening with good friends visiting from MN.

My desk/work station is such a mess! I am normally a very organized and neat person, but I just cannot seem to keep my desk clean since we moved to AZ! I think I need more space--that must be it! :)

Mountain Snow (Day 40)

It's hard to see, but there is snow on Mt Lemmon today. They got a lot of snow yesterday and by looking at the clouds in the picture, it appears they are getting more. It's really cool to see snow-covered mountains out our window!

Inside a saguaro (Day 38)

The inside of a saguaro cactus (my FAVORITE cactus!) has woody ribs that stay behind when a cactus dies and it's flesh falls off. The ribs are used to make furniture, saguaro fruit harvest poles and decor. On our hike to today we got to see many saguaro skeletons!

One of my favorite things... (Day 34)

is the Eiffel Tower!!! Four years ago this month my best friend and I took a fantastic trip to Paris! It was just for a long weekend, but it was so much fun!!! My cousin lived there at the time and showed us so many amazing things. By far, my absolute favorite thing in Paris was the Eiffel Tower! There is just no way to describe how big and magnificent it is! It is just a beautiful piece of architecture. Once I got home I slowly began collecting Eiffel Tower things...I have a lamp, night light, many paintings, some small trinkets and this clock. My plan is to have a Paris themed room in our house so I can sit and dream of visiting Paris again someday!

Day 33

It's hard to tell from the picture, but this grapefruit is huge! Mike brought home a huge bag of them from one of his students. We really hope to have some fruit trees in our yard once we buy a house down here!!

We made a new sandwich today--the Montanta Panini. We are really into avocados these days so that's why this sandwich looked so good to us! It was!!!
